Diversity in STEM

The STEM world is a wonderful place full of inventors, creators, film makers, computer programmers, the list goes on and on. But there is one thing lacking in STEM and that is diversity. Similar to that of politics the STEM world is dominated by white males. This is a problem. If the world identifies STEM as a group of diverse jobs and studies then why is it so dominated by a group that in the U.S. is only 31% of the population. We as a country and as a people must insure that women, girls and people of all races, ethnicities are able to achieve whatever dream their heart desires.
